  1. COOKIES

To make visiting our website attractive and to enable certain functions, we use cookies on various pages. These are small text files stored on your device. Some cookies we use are deleted after the end of the browser session, i.e., after you close your browser (session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and allow us or our partner companies (third-party cookies) to recognize your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). Where personal data is processed by individual cookies we implement, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR either for contract fulfillment or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to preserve our legitimate interests in providing the best possible functionality of the website and a customer-friendly, effective design of the page visit.

We may cooperate with advertising partners to help us make our online offering more interesting to you. For this purpose, cookies from partner companies are also stored on your hard drive when you visit our website (third-party cookies). If we work with the aforementioned advertising partners, you will be informed about the use of such cookies and the scope of the information collected individually and separately in the paragraphs below.

Please note that you can set your browser to inform you about the use of cookies, decide individually on their acceptance, or exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or in general. 1. CONTACT

When contacting us (e.g., via a contact form or email), personal data is collected. The specific data collected through a contact form is shown on the respective form. This data is stored and used exclusively for the purpose of responding to your request or for establishing contact and the associated technical administration. The legal basis for data processing is our legitimate interest in responding to your request under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If your contact aims at concluding a contract, the additional legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Your data will be deleted after your inquiry is finally processed, provided the circumstances indicate that the matter concerned has been conclusively clarified and no statutory retention obligations exist.

  1. DATA PROCESSING FOR ACCOUNT OPENING AND CONTRACT EXECUTION

In accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, personal data continues to be collected and processed if you provide it to us for contract execution or when opening a customer account. The specific data collected is shown on the respective input forms. Deleting your customer account is possible at any time and can be done by sending a message to the controller at the address mentioned above. We store and use the data you provide for contract processing. After completing the contract or deleting your customer account, your data will be blocked with respect to tax and commercial law retention periods and deleted after these periods expire, unless you have explicitly consented to further use of your data or we have reserved any additional data use permitted by law, about which we inform you below.

  1. USE OF YOUR DATA FOR DIRECT ADVERTISING

6.1 Registration for our email newsletter

If you sign up for our email newsletter, we will send you regular information about our offers. The only required information for sending the newsletter is your email address. Any other data is voluntary and is used to address you personally. We use the so-called double opt-in procedure for sending the newsletter. This means that we will only send you an email newsletter if you have expressly confirmed that you agree to receive newsletters. We will then send you a confirmation email asking you to confirm by clicking on a corresponding link that you would like to receive future newsletters.

By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to use your personal data in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. When registering for the newsletter, we store your IP address entered by the Internet service provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration to track any potential misuse of your email address at a later time. The data collected during registration for the newsletter will be used exclusively for promotional communication in the form of the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided in the newsletter or by sending a message to the controller mentioned at the beginning. After unsubscribing, your email address will be deleted immediately from our newsletter distribution list, provided that you have not expressly consented to further use of your data or we have reserved a further data use permitted by law, which we inform you about in this statement.

6.2 Sending Email Newsletters to Existing Customers

If you have provided us with your email address when purchasing goods or services, we reserve the right to regularly send you offers for similar goods or services from our range via email. For this, we do not need to obtain separate consent from you. The data processing is based solely on our legitimate interest in personalized direct advertising in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If you have initially objected to the use of your email address for this purpose, we will not send any emails. You are entitled to object to the use of your email address for the aforementioned advertising purpose at any time with effect for the future by notifying the controller listed at the beginning. For this, you will only incur transmission costs according to the base rates. Upon receiving your objection, the use of your email address for advertising purposes will cease immediately.

We also pass on your payment data to the commissioned credit institution for payment processing, provided this is necessary for payment processing. If payment service providers are used, we explicitly inform you about this below. The legal basis for data transmission in this case is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

For this purpose, your payment data may be forwarded to credit agencies in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on PayPal's legitimate interest in determining your solvency. PayPal uses the result of the credit check in relation to the statistical probability of non-payment to decide on the provision of the respective payment method. The credit check may contain probability values (so-called score values). Insofar as score values are included in the result of the credit check, they are based on a scientifically recognized mathematical-statistical procedure. Address data, among other things, is included in the calculation of score values. Further data protection information, including information on the credit agencies used, can be found in PayPal’s privacy policy: PayPal Privacy Policy

10) ONLINE MARKETING

10.1 DoubleClick by Google

This website uses the DoubleClick online marketing tool by Google, operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("DoubleClick").

DoubleClick uses cookies to display ads relevant to users, improve campaign performance reports, or prevent users from seeing the same ads multiple times. Google uses a cookie ID to track which ads are displayed in which browser, thus preventing multiple displays. Processing is based on our legitimate interest in the optimal marketing of our website per Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Additionally, DoubleClick can use cookie IDs to track conversions related to ad requests. This happens, for example, when a user views a DoubleClick ad and later visits the advertiser's website using the same browser and makes a purchase. According to Google, DoubleClick cookies do not contain any personal data.

Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Google's server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through this tool, and we inform you according to our knowledge. By integrating DoubleClick, Google receives the information that you have accessed the respective part of our website or clicked on one of our ads. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can associate the visit with your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or logged in, it is possible that the provider will obtain and store your IP address.

If you wish to opt-out of this tracking process, you can disable cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain "www.googleadservices.com" (see Google Ad Settings), noting that this setting will be deleted if you delete your cookies. Alternatively, you can visit the Digital Advertising Alliance website at About Ads to learn about cookie settings and adjust them accordingly. Lastly, you can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and decide individually on their acceptance or exclude cookies for specific cases or in general. The functionality of our website may be limited if cookies are not accepted.

10.2 Google AdWords Conversion Tracking

This website uses the online advertising program "Google AdWords" and, within the scope of Google AdWords, the Conversion Tracking service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). We use Google AdWords to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites through advertising ("Google Ads"). We can determine how successful individual advertising campaigns are in relation to the data from the ad campaigns. Our interest is to display ads relevant to you, make our website more interesting for you, and achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs.

The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on a Google ad. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. These cookies typically expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected via the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that personally identifies users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can opt out by disabling the Google Conversion Tracking cookie via your Internet browser under user settings. You will not be included in conversion tracking statistics. We use Google AdWords based on our legitimate interest in targeted advertising per Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified under the US-European "Privacy Shield" agreement, ensuring compliance with the EU's data protection level.

  1. WEB ANALYTICS SERVICES

Google (Universal) Analytics

  • Google Universal Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies, text files stored on your computer that allow for an analysis of your website usage. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including the shortened IP address) is generally transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA.

This website uses Google Analytics exclusively with the "_anonymizeIp()" extension, which ensures anonymization of the IP address by shortening it and excludes a direct personal reference. Through this extension, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. In these exceptional cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behavior for optimization and marketing purposes per Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide us with other services related to website usage and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser settings accordingly; however, please note that you may not be able to use all the features of this website to the full extent if you do so. Additionally, you can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: Google Analytics Opt-Out

Alternatively to the browser plugin or within browsers on mobile devices, click the following link to set an opt-out cookie that prevents future data collection by Google Analytics within this website (this opt-out cookie only works in this browser and only for this domain; if you delete your cookies in this browser, you must click this link again): Google Analytics deactivation

Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified under the US-European "Privacy Shield" agreement, ensuring compliance with the EU's data protection level.

This website also uses Google Analytics for a cross-device analysis of visitor flows, conducted via a user ID. When you first access a page, a unique, permanent, and anonymous ID is assigned to you, which is used across devices. This allows interaction data from different devices and sessions to be assigned to a single user. The user ID does not contain personal data and does not transmit any data to Google.

You can object to data collection and storage via the user ID at any time with effect for the future. For this, you must disable Google Analytics on all systems you use, for example, in a different browser or on your mobile device. Deactivation can be done using a Google browser plugin (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en).

12) RETARGETING/REMARKETING/RECOMMENDATION ADVERTISING

Facebook Custom Audience via the Pixel Method

This website uses the "Facebook Pixel" of Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA ("Facebook"). If explicit consent is given, it allows the tracking of user behavior after they have seen or clicked on a Facebook advertisement. This process is used to evaluate the effectiveness of Facebook advertisements for statistical and market research purposes and can help to optimize future advertising measures.

The collected data is anonymous to us, meaning we cannot identify the user. However, Facebook stores and processes the data, allowing a connection to the respective user profile and enabling Facebook to use the data for its own advertising purposes, in line with Facebook's Data Usage Policy (Facebook Privacy Policy). This allows Facebook to display advertisements on Facebook and other Facebook partner sites. This use of data can only occur with explicit consent according to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Consent for the use of the Facebook Pixel may only be given by users over the age of 13. If you are younger than this, please ask your legal guardian for permission.

Facebook Inc., based in the USA, is certified under the US-European "Privacy Shield" agreement, which guarantees compliance with the data protection level applicable in the EU.

To disable the use of cookies on your computer, you can configure your internet browser so that no cookies can be stored on your computer in the future, or cookies that have already been stored are deleted. However, disabling all cookies may mean that some functions on our internet pages can no longer be used. You can also disable the use of cookies by third-party providers such as Facebook on the following Digital Advertising Alliance website: About Ads

Google AdWords Remarketing

Our website uses the functions of Google AdWords Remarketing, through which we advertise this website in Google search results and on third-party websites. 13.1 The applicable data protection law grants you the following comprehensive data subject rights concerning the processing of your personal data:

  • Right of Access (Art. 15 GDPR): You have the right to obtain information about your personal data processed by us, the purposes of processing, the categories of personal data processed, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned retention period, the existence of a right to rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to processing, the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, the source of your data if it was not collected from you by us, the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, and meaningful information about the logic involved as well as the significance and the expected impact of such processing on you, and your right to be informed about the guarantees according to Art. 46 GDPR when your data is transferred to third countries.

  • Right to Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You have the right to request the immediate correction of incorrect data concerning you and/or completion of your incomplete data stored by us.

  • Right to Deletion (Art. 17 GDPR): You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data if the conditions of Art. 17(1) GDPR are met. This right does not apply if processing is necessary to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information, to fulfill a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

  • Right to Restriction of Processing (Art. 18 GDPR): You have the right to request the restriction of processing of your personal data as long as the accuracy of your data is contested, if you refuse the deletion of your data due to unlawful data processing and instead request the restriction of its use, if you need your data to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims after we no longer need it for its intended purpose, or if you have objected for reasons related to your particular situation, as long as it has not been determined whether our legitimate grounds prevail.

  • Right to Notification (Art. 19 GDPR): If you have asserted the right to rectification, deletion, or restriction of processing against the controller, the controller is obliged to inform all recipients to whom the personal data concerning you has been disclosed about this rectification, deletion, or restriction of processing, unless this proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort. You have the right to be informed about these recipients.

  • Right to Data Portability (Art. 20 GDPR): You have the right to receive the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format or to request its transfer to another controller, as far as technically feasible.

  • Right to Withdraw Consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR): You have the right to withdraw consent given at any time with effect for the future. In the event of withdrawal, we will immediately delete the affected data unless further processing can be based on a legal basis for processing without consent. • Right to Lodge a Complaint (Art. 77 GDPR): If you believe that the processing of personal data concerning you violates the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your residence, workplace, or the place of the alleged infringement, without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.

13.2 Right to Object

If we process your personal data based on our overriding legitimate interest as part of a balancing of interests, you have the right to object to this processing at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation with effect for the future.

If you exercise your right to object, we will stop processing the data concerned. However, further processing remains reserved if we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that outweigh your interests, fundamental rights, and freedoms, or if processing serves to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

If your personal data is processed by us for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of such advertising. You can exercise the right to object as described above.

If you exercise your right to object, we will stop processing the data concerned for direct marketing purposes.
